Installing Presold on Your Shopify Store
Presold adds preorder buttons and back-in-stock notifications to your Shopify store. This guide walks you through the one-time setup.
Step 1: Install the App
Find Presold in the Shopify App Store and click Add app → Install app.
✅ Presold will request the following permissions:
- Read and write products (to sync preorder settings)
- Read orders (to tag preorder orders)
- Read and write inventory (for back-in-stock notifications)
Step 2: Enable the App Embed
⚠️ This is the most important step. Without it, nothing will appear on your storefront.
- In Shopify Admin, go to Online Store → Themes
- Click Customize on your active theme
- Click the App embeds icon (🧩 puzzle piece) in the left sidebar
- Toggle Presold to ON
- Click Save
💡 Tip: If the app embed is not enabled, you'll see a yellow warning banner on the Presold Dashboard with a direct link to enable it.
Step 3: Open Presold
Go to Apps → Presold in your Shopify Admin. The Dashboard shows your setup progress and key metrics.
✅ That's it — Presold is ready to use!
