Preorder Button Settings
Control when the preorder button appears and how many preorders to accept.
Show Preorder When
This is the most important setting. It determines when the preorder button appears:

What happens when the setting changes?
Out of Stock mode
✅ Product has stock → normal "Add to cart" button
✅ Product sells out → button switches to your preorder text
✅ You restock → button switches back to "Add to cart"
Always mode
✅ Preorder button shows at all times, regardless of inventory
In Stock mode
✅ Product has stock → preorder button shows
✅ Product sells out → "Sold out" replaces the button
Inventory Limit (Optional)
Set a maximum number of preorders you'll accept when a product is out of stock.
Example: You set a limit of 50.
- Product goes out of stock → preorder button appears
- 50 customers preorder (inventory reaches -50)
- ✅ Presold disables "Continue selling when out of stock"
- Button becomes "Sold out"
- You restock → cycle begins again
⚠️ Note: Inventory limits only work in "Out of Stock" mode.
